How To Review TECNO CAMON 15 Andriod Review
What’s up guys it’s Andriod Review and welcome back to my Site! And this is the TECNO CAMON 15 The Camon 15 is the latest addition to TECNo’s Camon line up. The Camon series is camera centric range and this new one is no exception. Talking about cameras, the Camon 15 has a Quad camera setup but I would talk about that later in the video, so don’t go away! Now let’s see what’s inside the box. Taking off the lid reveals the large display of the Camon 15, Let’s put that aside for a second to see what else is in the box. In this pack you get a 12+ 1 months warranty card and a semi clear silicon phone case with the TECNO and Manchester city logo inscribed on it. Next you have the a micro USB cable, it's totally disappointing that we keep seeing micro usb on phone in 2020.
I mean what’s wrong with putting a USB C connector ?Finally you get the charger brick which doesn’t support any version for fast changing whatsoever. That’s it for “what’s in the box” Coming to the phone itself, The Camon 15 comes in colors, Fantastic purple,Ice Jadite and Shoal Gold. This are weird naming scheme but I like it. Here I have the SHOAL GOLD version and what I love about this colour is the green gradient and gray lines running across the back. It’s glossy look is definitely a down side as this would be a perfect fingerprint magnet as opposed to being a mirror. At the back you also have that 4 camera setup with a 48 Mega pixels main sensor and an inscription that’s say Innovation designed by TECNO.At the left side you have the sim card slot. You get 2 Nano sims and a micro sd card slot. The top is totally vacant while the right side houses the volume and power button. At the bottom you have the the speaker grill, Micro USB port, microphone cut out and headphone jack, at least we still have that. And the front you have that hole Punch camera that sits at the top left corner of the screen. Honestly I think this is the perfect position for an in display camera. The Camon 15 spots a 6.55 inches 720 x 1600 pixels display with 82.7% screen to body ratio, the bezels are visible but quite slim. The screen is quite large and would definitely be great for watching contents especially Youtube.
While the hole punch camera is embedded in the display it barely causes any obstruction and can be completely overlooked when watching a video or playing games. Talking about power, it packs a 5000mAh battery, I think this is no suprise considering the size of the phone, there is enough room for the large battery. Charging the device fully takes about 1 and half hour to 2 hours but I would do a full review of that in a subsequent video. It comes in either 32gig storage and 3gig RAM or 64gig storage and 4gig RAM. This is the 64gig variant. The Camon 15 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 Octa processor which is clocked at speed of 2 GHz and a PowerVR GE8320 GPU clocked at 650 MHz It runs on Android 10 and TECNO's UI HiOs 6. It’s retains most of the redundant preinstalled apps that comes with every TECNO phones but the good thing is that they can be uninstalled. My favorite features would be the dark mode, ability to pin apps in the task manager and the app drawer which provides easy access to shortcuts. From my testing I did not encounter any issue, I also played a bit of Asphalt 8 and did not have issues with lagging, let me know in the comments section if you would like to see a gaming test of this device. Coming to the selling point of this phone , the camera! The selfie camera is 16 MP camera with digital zoom. It shoots 1080p at 30 fps and has a ring flash for low light conditions At the back we have the 48 megapixel Quad camera setup. Although Tecno doesn’t specify the cameras but I did a little digging and was able to get some information. The primary camera is a 12 Megapixel f1.8 camera.
The main camera is a 48 megapixel camera with F1.79 aperture thats shoots also 1080p at 30 fps The third camera is a 2 MP camera with f2.4 aperture specifically for taking macro shots And The last is a 2 Megapixel camera for depth sensing In all the 4 cameras work together to produce great images using AI. In the camera application you have the 48 Mega pixel mode for high quality image capture and also the super night mode to produce great images in low light conditions Here are some of the images I took. I also tested the video quality on both the back camera and selfie camera. what's up guys is much like at and this is the camera test so basically using the front camera and I'm just trying to see how good the quality is so you can take a look at the video and also if you like the audio just this audio consuming edited this the way it is it's just slightly from before so I'm going to switch to the back camera now so yeah I'm using the back camera and I'm not sure if it has optical image stabilization but I'm just gonna try my best to like stabilize it was again so I don't know this one is still out The images are sharp, I especially like the ones at night as I did get lovely colors. get lovely colors. The super night mode produced different results as it sometimes loses some details while try to compensate for light. I do expect to test the camera more and would come back with a better verdict so watch out for that video. The price of the Camon 15 would vary in different regions but it should definitely be around the 130 - 150 dollars.
